Summer is here and in full blaze.  With the kids out of school the first thing that comes to mind is how to keep them entertained while still holding on to your sanity.  Why not go to the beach?  The relaxing sounds of the ocean, warm sand beneath your feet, and the sounds of your happy family frolicking around making sand castles.  What could be better?  Well before you pack up the minivan and head off don’t forget some items that maybe essential in creating that dream beach vacation.  Here is a list of my must haves…

10)    A Great Beach Tote

This is a no brainer, of course you need something to lug all your stuff (and your little ones’ stuff) around.  Make sure you get something durable, sizable, and if your like me, something with lots of pockets or compartments for easy retrieval.

9)      A Six Pack Cooler

Keep your drinks (whether it be soda or something for the adults) ice cold.  When you’re out relaxing on the beach the very last thing you want is a warm drink!  Yuck!  So keep it cool with a very handy six pack cooler.

8)      Sunglasses

Surprisingly this is something that is easily overlooked or forgotten.  I know I have been out on the beach laying out wondering if I remembered to pack my shades. 

7)      A Beach Purse

You can’t go around carrying that same old bag you carry at home.  You got to have something to go with that bikini and summer dress you packed.  My favorite thing to carry is my Baskets of Cambodia Bag.  Made of real grass it’s so durable and elegant you can carry it to all the trendy restaurants. 

6)      Body Lotion

If your goal is to get a deep tan while you’re at the beach (don’t forget your spf too) moisturizing is key.   First of all, to get an even tan all over your body you need to exfoliate.  This will help get all the dead skin off so you won’t have patches later. Try the Jaqua Body Polish in Peach.  It will your skin super soft and smelling yummy.  After you tan, use a high grade moisturizer.  This will help you from flaking and prolong your tan.  Another favorite that I use is the Jaqua Buttercream Frosting Body Butter.  It has the shea butter, jojoba oil, and ginseng extract to keep skin nourished and hydrated.  Not to mention it has a sinfully sweet smell!

5)      Lolita Martini Glass Sex on the Beach

Ok, this martini glass is just too cute not to mention.  It is hand painted with a beach scene with clothes seemingly tossed around with little foot prints on the bottom of the glass with a sand like texture.  A recipe for the drink is on the bottom so you can enjoy this drink while you’re at the beach! 

4)      Lip Balm

Keep your lips kissable soft all summer long.  The coastal sun can be harsh on your lips.  With all the focus on the rest of your body, lips tend to get neglected.   Keep your pucker perfect with moisturizing lip balm.  Use Fruit Frappe Lip Butter Bling that has plumping action to keep lips luscious. 

3)      Beach Towel/Blanket

Get that super big beach towel out for lying out on or drying off after dip in the ocean.  They come in all colors and patterns so you can find one that will fit your personality.  Better yet throw a monogram on it and make it personal. 

            2) Flip Flops
